AWS Bedrock Adds Cross-Region GPT-5.6 Inference
Three GPT-5.6 variants—Sol, Terra, and Luna—now support cross-region inference across 25 AWS Regions. Amazon Bedrock uses inference profiles to route requests to available compute pools outside the source region. This capacity mechanism increases throughput by bypassing local bottlenecks. Practitioners can now scale high-volume workloads without hitting single-region compute limits.
