AWS Bedrock Adds Cross-Region GPT-5.6 Inference
Three GPT-5.6 variants—Sol, Terra, and Luna—now support cross-Region inference across 25 AWS Regions. This mechanism routes requests to available compute pools via inference profiles to bypass local capacity limits. Amazon Bedrock users gain higher throughput by decoupling request sources from destination compute. It is a capacity play, not a model upgrade.
