AWS Adds Cross-Region Inference For GPT-5.6
Three GPT-5.6 variants—Sol, Terra, and Luna—now support cross-Region inference across 25 AWS Regions. Amazon Bedrock uses inference profiles to route requests to available compute pools. This capacity mechanism boosts throughput by bypassing single-region bottlenecks. Practitioners can now scale high-demand workloads without hitting local compute limits.
