Illinois Bans AI Teacher Evaluations
Senate Bill 2909 prohibits school administrators from using artificial intelligence to evaluate teachers. The law also prevents educators from using AI to meet their own performance requirements. Governor JB Pritzker signed the measure as part of a 31-law package. This restriction limits automated oversight in Illinois classrooms to protect human-led professional assessments.
