SQUIRE: Slot-Based UI Generation
Apple’s SQUIRE framework uses slot query intermediate representations to turn natural‑language prompts into UI prototypes. By mapping prompts to reusable slots, it reduces ambiguity and speeds iteration. The system still faces unpredictable model responses, but it offers a clearer interface for designers. Practitioners can prototype faster with less code. Developers can iterate 10× faster than manual coding.
