OpenAI and Chip Giants Launch MRC Protocol
The new MRC open-source protocol connects over 100,000 GPUs using only two switch layers. OpenAI partnered with NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Broadcom, and Microsoft to route data across hundreds of simultaneous paths. This architecture reduces power consumption and infrastructure costs. It currently runs on the Stargate supercomputer to eliminate critical networking bottlenecks.
