Researchers Propose AI-Native Paper Formats
Thirty-seven researchers from two dozen institutions propose replacing traditional papers with Agent-Native Research Artifacts (ARAs). This format prioritizes machine readability over human consumption to help AI agents reproduce and extend scientific work. The shift treats agents as autonomous contributors rather than simple tools.
