ZeroFolio Selects Algorithms Using Text Embeddings
Eleven ASlib scenarios across seven domains validated ZeroFolio, a feature-free algorithm selection method. The system replaces hand-crafted instance features with pretrained text embeddings and weighted k-nearest neighbors. It reads raw instance files as plain text to distinguish problems without domain knowledge. This pipeline allows practitioners to automate algorithm selection across diverse tasks without task-specific training.
