Anthropic Makes Claude Code Auto Mode Default
An internal classifier caught 89 percent of dangerous commands, far outpacing the 13.6 percent caught by humans. Anthropic will enable Auto Mode by default for Pro, Max, and Team plans starting August 14. This shift moves Claude Code users from active approval to passive monitoring. Developers now rely more on automated safety guards.
