Indonesia Launches First University AI Center
Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indosat, and NVIDIA opened the NVAITC in Yogyakarta this week. This center blends government and academic resources to build AI tailored to Indonesian national priorities. It focuses on developing local talent rather than just importing foreign tools. Researchers will now have dedicated infrastructure to build sovereign AI applications.
