AI Models Face Unsolved Math Problems
Current LLMs struggle to solve high-level mathematical conjectures that lack existing training data. While synthetic data generation improves basic reasoning, these models cannot yet derive novel proofs for unsolved theorems. This gap persists despite scaling. Researchers must now find ways to move beyond pattern matching to achieve true logical discovery in mathematics.
