MATS Launches AI Safety Residency Program
The MATS Residency provides 6 to 24 months of dedicated support for researchers targeting catastrophic AI risks. This new track follows a program that already accelerated 630 researchers and spawned firms like Apollo Research. Applicants will focus on oversight and agentic system safety. Winter 2027 applications open August 25, 2026.
