Prithvi-EO-2.0 Flood Mapping Accuracy Varies by Terrain
A study of 19 global flood events shows Prithvi-EO-2.0 achieves its highest agreement in cropland areas with an IoU of 52%. Riverine floods proved easiest to detect, reaching an F1 score of 0.69. These results highlight how land cover and flood mechanisms limit the reliability of geospatial foundation models in disaster response.
