Prithvi-EO-2.0 Flood Mapping Accuracy Varies By Terrain
Croplands yielded the highest agreement at 52% IoU during a test of Prithvi-EO-2.0 across 19 global flood events. The study found that detection accuracy depends heavily on land cover and flood mechanism, with riverine events performing best. These results highlight reliability gaps in geospatial foundation models for diverse disaster response scenarios.
